How Credits Work on Zikaya

Zikaya has two types of credits: Community Credits and Premium Credits. Here's how to earn or get them and what you can use them for.

Two kinds of credits

Share to earn

Community Credits

  • Earn Community Credits when your eligible study materials are accepted and published on Zikaya.
  • Use your credits to unlock documents participating in Community Exchange.
  • Community Credits cannot be purchased, exchanged for cash, or converted into Premium Credits. Unlocking a document with Community Credits does not generate cash earnings for its creator.

Get credits to buy

Premium Credits

  • Get Premium Credits through supported purchases, paid plans, or qualifying promotions.
  • Use Premium Credits to purchase eligible documents in the Premium Marketplace.
  • Premium Credits cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred between accounts, or converted into Community Credits.
  • Qualifying purchases using Premium Credits generate creator earnings.

Can a Document Be Available for Both?

Yes. A creator can make the same document available through Community Exchange and Premium Marketplace.

The available access methods and their prices are shown on the document page.

What Happens After I Unlock a Document?

Whether you use Community Credits, Premium Credits, or cash, access is granted to the specific document version you acquired.

You can generally continue accessing that version without a preset expiration date, subject to refunds, legal removals, and other applicable restrictions.

Major new editions are not automatically included.

Where Can I Check My Credits?
