How this works

A copyright report asks us to review a document that you believe copies a work you own, or a work you're authorised to act for.

About credit: if the document copies your work, wrongly credited or not credited at all, continue with this report. If it only names or credits you incorrectly without copying your work, use Report Content instead.

You'll need

  • the title or a clear description of the original work, and where it was published if you know;
  • the link to each Zikaya document involved, and which part copies the work;
  • your name, email and postal address. A registration certificate isn't required.

What happens next

We review reports under the laws of Kenya, including the Copyright Act, and our policies. We may restrict access to the material while we review it, ask you or the creator for more information, or take other appropriate action. The creator is told about the report and can request a review. Where the law requires it, we share your report with them.

Usually not copyright

Naming a school, course or exam; covering the same topic in different words; or quoting a short passage with credit. If you're unsure, you can still send a report, or send an informal report through Report Content. An informal report is reviewed too, but it isn't a formal copyright notice.

You don't need a copyright report to remove your own document.

  • Open Creator Studio, choose the document and select Hide. It leaves the marketplace; people who already have it keep access to their version.
  • To have it removed completely, or if you can't sign in, contact [email protected] from the email on your account.

Exam content, private or patient information, misleading listings and other policy problems are handled through Report Content. We review every report, and you don't need an account.

Only the copyright owner, or someone authorised to act for them, can submit a formal copyright report. For example, the author, the publisher, or a lawyer or agent acting for them.

A person or an organisation. If that's you, enter your own name.
For example: "I wrote this study guide in 2025", or "I manage rights for the publisher".
