Copyright Policy

Zikaya Ltd (Zikaya, we) respects intellectual property rights and expects creators to share only materials they own or are authorized to distribute.

Content ownership

Creators keep ownership of their original work and are solely responsible for having the rights to share or sell it. The Creator Agreement sets out these responsibilities, and the Acceptable Content Policy explains what may be uploaded.

If you believe material on Zikaya infringes your rights, you can submit a copyright concern through our guided reporting process. We may ask for information to verify ownership, identify the material and assess the report, and may share a report with the creator where the law requires.

How we handle reports

We decide how to respond to each report and are not required to resolve disputes between a claimant and a creator. We may restrict or remove material, ask the creator for information or take other action, at our discretion and as the law requires. We may end the accounts of repeat infringers. We handle reports under the laws of Kenya and any other law that applies.

Disputed removals

Creators who believe their material was removed in error may request a review through the process described in their removal notification. We may restore the material or keep it unavailable, at our discretion and as the law requires. Anyone who submits a false or bad-faith report or challenge may be responsible for the resulting losses, to the extent permitted by law.
